Unity Games, the game publishing division of Unity Technologies Japan, today announced the release of the popular Wind-up Knight 2 for the Wii U™ system. Originally developed by Robot Invader for Android and iOS, Wind-up Knight 2 has since become one of today’s most popular mobile platform games. The game has been extensively updated and rebalanced for the console experience and is available now on Wii U in the Nintendo eShop for $7.50 USD SRP.
As the game publishing studio behind the Unity engine, Unity Games is directly involved in showcasing the engine’s platform extensibility by identifying exceptional games and introducing them to entirely new gaming audiences on entirely new gaming systems. With Wind-up Knight 2, Unity Games went one step further, by directly managing the game’s transition from iOS and Android to Wii U. The studio curated an internal development team who focused on updating the title and making sure the popular mobile platform game was even more accessible and easy-to-use for Wii U fans. Wind-up Knight 2, represents the first ever Wii U title from Unity Games and the studio’s North American debut as a Nintendo publisher.
