NetScan 3.0 Network Utility

NetScan from William Furtado is today’s featured app.  NetScan is a small but perfectly formed network utility for Mac’s, a great addition to any network admin’s tool belt.

NetScan features include:

  • A Network Port Scanner for both local or external IP’s/Hostname’s
  • A ping utility
  • A traceroute utility
  • Packet flooding
  • and a Whois Utility

NetScan also allows saving of data from all of the scans/utilities.

…but wait I hear you shout…OS X can do all this as standard!  Yes, I hear your cries!  However, NetScan appears marginally faster then the built in utility.

William also has another couple of cool apps under his belt, including iSpoof a simple utility for mimic’ing Mac addresses, AlarmFoo an alarm clock for Mac and Flash Pirate a utility to enable offline for playing flash games on or offline.
