iTunes App Store Expense Monitor

If like me you find your self drawn in by all the small price tags on the 1,000’s of application is iTunes App Store, then this app is just what you need. The developers over at WetFish software have come up with a clever way of monitoring just how much cash you are spending on your iPhone apps.

No need to worry about your iTunes account security as you don’t need to provide the app with any password details, all you need to do is point it at your Mobile Applications folder path. (Which comes pre-programmed in the app anyway) Once the app has done scrutinising your downloads folder you will be presented with a list of all the apps you have downloaded and the price for each one.
You can then use the App’s GUI to organise the list by name, description, category or price. Once you have found a layout you are happy with, you can use the built in function to export the data to either XML or CSV, making the app very versatile! You also have the ability to modify the prices of any of the applications listed in the app, lets say you managed to bag the app during a sale event and the price shown in the app isn’t correct. All you need to do is double click on the price field and amend as needed! So there you go – A simple, yet effective way of keeping an eye on your iTunes spending!
