This morning sees the release of version 3.4 of the iOS Facebook app.

The update is now available to download from the app store and contains the following updates:

    • Ability to unfriend direct from your device
    • Map View for ‘Places’
    • Ability to check in to events
    • Improved UI and improved alerts.

The iOS client is possibly one of the safest ways to use Facebook, preventing the chance of installation of unwanted software from clicking on links, unlike browsing the site from your PC or Mac.
