Good news for all you O2 customers

Well here’s some good news for all you O2 customers with data enabled phones…O2 have today announced that they are releasing new tariffs (and renewing the 12 month contracts) which will include a range of tethering plans in the price.

Since the ‘introduction’ of tethering into the mobile world, the mobile phone operators where quick to charge silly money to enable such packages on your contract, with the only alternative being the frowned upon Jail Break, most people paid the fees.  Until now anyway…

As you can see from Tony Smith’s post over at The Register, O2 have finally started to bundle this into their ordinary contracts.  This means on average you’ll save £7.65!  Hopefully this will spread to all the other networks who currently still charge for tethering!

Who knows, maybe the MiFi device days are numbered!?
