An early start to a long day.

Today is the Service Desk and InfoSec day at Earls court in London, so
started at 5am!

Its my second time at the event, with my first trip two years ago
today. The event is essentially a collection of suppliers from around
the world selling hardware and software aimed at IT service desks.
This might sound mind numbing on paper, however its often a good place
to get a sneak peak into next years tech.

My last trip resulted in investment of LogMeIn Remote Rescue, which
was (and possibly is) the only service on the market offering remote
support for mobile devices!

This year my remit has changed slightly, with no main goals for
software, but a requirement to check out software deployment and patch
management solutions. Oh and the collection of as many freebies as
possible… Because lets face it, you can never have too many pens!

The last time i went i choose to drive, which although I enjoy
driving, setting off at 3am was just silly! So this year i opted for
the train.. Mind, the 5 am start isn’t much better!

Just like last time, ill no doubt be posting my findings after the
event. Watch this space for my review 🙂
