Working as part of a 2nd line support, my responsibilities include management and handling of escalated support issues for over 14,000 staff. I am also the lead developer of Hornbill SupportWorks, our internal help desk system which consists of a rich GUI front end and a PHP driven web site. My goal is to become a business analyst and extend my project management and development skills.
I have recently been attending events and seminars across the UK, on ITIL best practices for the running of a service desk. I will shortly be starting the build of a service desk catalogue and a feature rich knowledge base.
